Home      Soap

We make our soaps using all natural vegetable oils, specifically sunflower oil, olive oil, shea butter, palm oil, coconut oil and castor oil. This combination of oils and butters makes for a very luxurious and moisturizing bar of soap (that has lots of lather!).

Essential oils are added to give the bars a more personal touch and most of our soap has wonderful aromatherapy properties. Sometimes we throw in some ground herbs to help with the aromatherapy qualities as well as making them more pleasing to the eye.

As with all truly homemade soaps, we also add in some sodium hydroxide (lye). Never to fear though the lye saponifies the oils and when the soap is done curing, the lye is gone. We do pH test our bars of soap to ensure that each batch is as mild as possible and they typically test around a 7 - 7.5, which is more mild than Ivory.

Our soaps are good with any skin type. Dry skin and oily skin are both caused by our skin's natural oils being stripped away (primarily by surfectants that are added to almost everything). Some people's skin produces much more oil to compensate for this and that gives a person oily skin. Others will quit producing so much oil and this will give a person dry skin. The combination of oils that we use helps to regulate your skin's natural oils while it is cleaning away all of the other stuff.
